UK – U of L MVP Award

History of the MVP Award

The Bluegrass Sports Commission hands out the Most Valuable Player award for the Battle of the Bluegrass, the annual Kentucky vs. Louisville men’s basketball game. The MVP is selected by a panel of the BSC Board of Directors. The award goes to the game’s player who gave an exceptional performance and/or had the biggest impact on the outcome of the game.

The MVP receives a championship belt from the Bluegrass Sports Commission (pictured to the right).
